Welcome to Nourished Connections!
Jason has designed this program based on decades of experience as a Narrative Therapist and culinary activist.   Jason guides families in creating and sustaining lifetime bonds of support through family food traditions and storytelling. It's a beautiful and fun way for families with young children to create meaningful moments that last a lifetime.

Journeys and Adventures
While working as a dishwasher in Buffalo, NY, Jason heard about an ideal graduate program. Soon after, he was bound for Milledgeville, Georgia to earn his Master's Degree in Adventure Therapy. Yes, you read that correctly, it's a thing! Adventures ensued! There was his work at a residential treatment center, a hike of the Appalachian Trail, school based therapy in Boston, a unique cooking job in Cambridge, and a doctorate in Psychology focused on Narrative Therapies.

A series of meaningful coincidences and choices led Jason to meet his wife and finally move to Vermont, two lifelong dreams! In Vermont, he worked at the state's largest hospital, opened a local food company, mastered the art of bulk soup production, studied a Brazilian martial art, began teaching traditional food preservation classes, had two beautiful sons, began to use storytelling for change and joined a cooperative psychotherapy practice in downtown Burlington, VT.

Throughout all of these adventures and journeys, a number of themes and patterns have emerged in Jason's personal and professional life. He now carries "Connection, Curiosity, Compassion and Commitment" as inspirational values for every new adventure!

Challenges and Treasures
Twenty years later, Jason sees everything as a form of adventure story! He sees the power of transformation that comes from authoring one's own story and the strength of the Adventure-Journey metaphor. All of his work and play has become an expression of his love,  experience and training in the practices of Narrative Therapy, Adventure Therapy and food education, activism and entrepreneurship.

This page represents the initiation of Jason's next adventure!

Jason is excited to bring over two decades of work in offices, institutions, kitchens, farmer's markets, woodlots and boardrooms to a wild new venue. His new offerings include group and online coaching programs, workshops and training, community building and education/activism.  Check out what he's doing by clicking on the links below!
